Left Papa's house today after a wonderful Father's Day with him. We were able to take a motorcycle ride together - something we haven't done in about 34 years. To say it was an enjoyable ride is an extreme understatement. It was a very nice 230+ mile ride around the lakes (Stockton, Truman, Pom de Terre) with Dad on his Kawasaki 900 Vulcan Custom, my nephew (Darrell) on his Suzuki Boulevard M90 Custom and us on Ruby...heaven!
So Day 1 of our return ride jets us across Kansas and into Colorado (stopping for the night in Burlington, CO). Lucky for us, we're smart enough to book hotel rooms ahead - we're watching from our room as 2 different motorcycle groups are turned away because the hotel's booked and we're looking at storm clouds building. Fast-forward about 10 minutes and there's a tornado warning <10 miles north of us!!! Following that, suddenly a HUGE thundercloud builds just north of us - hopefully the video will upload so you can see this awesome creature.
DAMN!!! Okay, it didn't load so here are some pics of the same thunderhead.
You might get to ride in the rain afterall. LOL Enjoy your time
